Geoffrey Rinehart of the University of Maryland Institute of Applied Agriculture will be presenting two half day MASTMA BMP Workshops with “class” and “field” training specifically for the Associates of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.

Day 1 will be hosted at the Fairland Sports & Aquatics Complex in Prince George’s County and Day 2 will be hosted at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreational Park in Montgomery County.

Coffee and donuts will be provided prior to the program with pizza and sodas/water provided immediately following the program. Due to logistics, availability is limited to 40 attendees per day.

DAY 1
Classroom: 45-60 Minute Presentation (pesticide, fertilizer storage, spray tank mixing, shop maintenance, and mower washing)
Field: 60-75 Minute Field Demonstration (proper materials storage, spray tank mixing procedures, and mower washing materials on site)

DAY 2
Classroom: 45-60 Minute Presentation (sprayer and fertilizer spreader calculations, calibration, seeding and cultivation practices)
Field: 60-75 Minute Field Demonstration (calibration, cultivation, and seeding)
